Programs under San Juan Foundation
GEAR UP
GEAR UP is a federal grant program that assists low-income students with tutoring and mentoring services and takes them on college campus tour trips. GEAR UP staff encourages students to increase their GPA, graduate from high school and move onto higher education by aiding in the college admissions process and mentoring them through their first year of college.
Afterschool Program
21st Century Community Learning Center will provide youth with academic enrichment opportunities during after school hours, with a specific focus on students who need tutoring, service learning opportunities, nutrition and health education, drug and violence prevention education, arts, music, physical fitness and wellness programs. Also technology education programs, financial literacy, environmental literacy, mathematics, science, career and technical programs, for middle and high school students that are designed to reinforce and complement the regular academic program of participating students.
San Juan Foundation Childcare Center
San Juan Foundation Childcare Center is located in Montezuma Creek, Utah. This great facility can provide the community the best childcare for children aging 0 to 5 years of age.
Nations of the Four Corners
Village sites for the Paiute, Ute, Navajo, Hispanics and Pioneers have been built on a beautiful trail system around the San Juan Foundation Office. These villages are used to teach about the different groups that have inhabited the area. They are open to schools field trips, the general public and tourists all-free of charge.
Friends of Oljato
The Oljato trading post in southeastern Utah has been identified as one of the 11 most endangered historic sites in the country. We support the cause to try to rebuild the historical building.
